Course Syllabus
- TITLE OF COURSE: PE1601 - Racquetball I-II
- COURSE DESCRIPTION: One credit hour. Two hours lab per week. This course will consist of instruction and practice in the fundamental skills, rules, and game strategy of racquetball. For each unit of credit, a minimum of three hours per week with one of the hours for class and two hours for studying/preparation outside of class is expected.
- PROGRAM AND DEPARTMENT MISSION STATEMENT: The SCCC/ATS physical education program will broaden the understanding of fitness for life by providing general education, appropriate technology, and professional development opportunities that promote a healthy lifestyle.

- Obtain the ability to perform the basic fundamental skill of racquetball which include
the forehand, backhand, and serve.
- Have an understanding of the selection, care, and use of racquetball equipment and

- Gain an understanding of the history, rules, scoring, etiquette and terminology of racquetball.
- Gain an understanding of game strategy in racquetball.

- Outcome 1 will be assessed and measured by class participation and skill performance indicating comprehension of what is read.
